![]() He worked for HISD as a dance teacher for Jane Long Middle School. Despite his love of performing, Kenny has always retained a passion for teaching and started his role as a teacher in 2010. Since 2017, Kenny and his breakdancing crew “RAD” have hosted an annual entertainment event for the community called “The Ether,” bringing in around 450 people from across the U.S. 2013 was also the year he joined Fly Dance company, which has allowed him to travel the United States as well as entertain audiences abroad in over 12 countries. ![]() In 2013 he joined the Houston Rockets Launch Crew and solidified his place as captain three years later, then also became Coordinator 4 years later. After graduating high school, Kenny continued to study dance at the University of Houston and decided to peruse dance as a full time career. In high school, he entered Inertia Dance Company which helped him enhance his skill and explore the possibilities of dance - he performed in symphonies, parades, half-time shows, musicals, concerts, and won first place as Dance Champion at MA Nationals. ![]() At 14 years old he began breakdancing and has been performing since. He is currently the Coordinator of the Houston Rockets Launch Crew, a core member of RAD (Rock All Day) Crew and is a principal dancer for Fly Dance Company. Kenny Louis is an entertainer based in Houston, TX. Woodson is currently the Director of the Dance Department the Head Director of the Crosby Middle School drill Team and Assistant Director of the Crosby High School Drill Team. Woodson has taught at her dance studio, Dayton Academy of Dance, for 10 years and recently joined Pointe of Grace dance studio. While Woodson loves performing, her true passion lies in teaching various genres of dance such as jazz, ballet, contemporary, and acrobatics. Woodson’s work has been showcased at Mind the Gap 12.0, Lonestar College-Cyfair, Lonestar College-Kingwood, and her choreography, Catalyst, was chosen for ACDA’s formal showcase in 2018. Woodson received her training under the instruction of many notable educators such as Amy Smith, John Beasant III, Karen Stokes, Teresa Chapman, Rebecca Valls, and Riolama Lorenzo-Lasa. Woodson is a company member of Psophonia dance company and has guest danced for Noblemotion, 6 degrees dance, and has performed locally in Barnstorm Dance Fest, Mind the Gap, University of Houston’s Emerging Choreographer Showcase and Ensemble Dance Works. Lizzy Woodson received her BFA in Dance from the University of Houston. Now, Aguilera continues to work with fusion of styles and aims to create original movement and styles while also representing the diversity of his company and city as the Founder and Artistic Director of Mezclada. ![]() ![]() Aguilera is the most recent Dance Source Artist in Residence for the 2019-20 season has presented his own work in the Houston area in festivals such as “Barnstorm Dance Fest”, “Emerging Choreographers Showcase”, ”16th Annual Celebration of Dance”, “Mind the Gap 8.0”, “Mind the Gap 13.0”, and “Texas Latino/a/x Contemporary Dance Festival” where he fuses his Breaking foundation with Modern Dance technique to Latin Jazz music. In Houston, Aguilera has entertained with Houston Rockets Launch Crew for two seasons, Kreate Inc at the Superbowl LI, PRP Entertainment, and currently spends his time teaching at several studios in the Greater Houston area. Aguilera spent four and a half years as a principal dancer with Fly Dance Company, with whom he has toured nationally and internationally. Aguilera is currently receiving his MFA at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is the most recent recipient of the AOP Fellowship. Joel Aguilera is a Houston Native with a BFA in Dance from the University of Houston. ![]()
